เมื่อวันที่ 5 กันยายน 2569 นายพสุศิษฏ์ วงศ์สุรวัฒน์ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองปีนัง และภริยา เข้าร่วมงาน Penang Peace Dialogue 2026 Gala Dinner & Show ที่โรงแรม JEN Penang รัฐปีนัง ซึ่งเป็นกิจกรรมเปิดตัวอย่างเป็นทางการของงาน Penang Peace Dialogue 2026 จัดขึ้นโดย Commonwealth of World Chinatowns ภายใต้หัวข้อ “Bridging Civilisations in a Multipolar World” โดยมี H.E. Mr. Joko Widodo ประธานาธิบดีสาธารณรัฐอินโดนีเซียคนที่ 7 และ YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow มุขมนตรีรัฐปีนัง เป็นแขกเกียรติยศ และมีผู้ร่วมงานจากภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน นักวิชาการ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ และภาคส่วนต่าง ๆ รวมถึงสื่อกว่า 200 คน
H.E. Mr. Joko Widodo และ YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow ร่วมกล่าวเปิดงาน และชมการแสดงทางวัฒนธรรมพื้นเมืองปีนัง Sayang Sayang Nyonya Dancers ระบำพื้นเมืองอินโดนีเซีย Ancient Javanese Dance และ Yogyakarta Dance รวมทั้งการแสดงละครเพลง Banquet with Boon Keng นอกจากนี้ ยังมีกิจกรรมประชาสัมพันธ์ Gaza Scholarship Initiative ซึ่งเป็นองค์กรอิสระที่ช่วยระดมทุนเพื่อมอบเป็นทุนการศึกษาให้ชาวปาเลสไตน์ที่ขาดโอกาสทางการศึกษาจากเหตุการณ์สู้รบในดินแดนปาเลสไตน์ โดยมีผู้รับทุนชาวปาเลสไตน์ที่ศึกษาอยู่ในประเทศมาเลเซียมากล่าวขอบคุณผู้ให้ทุนด้วย

On 5 September 2026, Mr. Psusist Wongsurawat, Consul-General of Thailand in Penang, accompanied by his spouse, attended the Penang Peace Dialogue 2026 Gala Dinner & Show at JEN Penang Hotel. This event served as the official launch of the Penang Peace Dialogue 2026, organized by the Commonwealth of World Chinatowns under the theme "Bridging Civilisations in a Multipolar World." The event was graced by distinguished guests of honour, H.E. Mr. Joko Widodo, the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, and YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, Chief Minister of Penang. More than 200 attendees participated, including representatives from the public and private sectors, academics, experts, and members of the media.
H.E. Mr. Joko Widodo and YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow presided over the opening ceremony and viewed cultural performances, including Penang’s "Sayang Sayang Nyonya Dancers," Indonesian traditional dances (Ancient Javanese and Yogyakarta dances), and the musical performance "Banquet with Boon Keng." The event also featured a promotional activity for the Gaza Scholarship Initiative, an independent organization raising funds for Palestinians deprived of educational opportunities due to the conflict in their homeland. A Palestinian scholarship recipient currently studying in Malaysia was present to express her gratitude to the donors.
