กัณตภณ สังขปรีชา เดินทางเยี่ยมกลุ่มอาสาสมัครไทยในมาเลเซีย (อสม.) บนเกาะลังกาวีเพื่อพูดคุย

เกี่ยวกับชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ของคนไทยบนเกาะลังกาวี และสอบถามถึงปัญหาและอุปสรรคของคนไทยใน

พื้นที่ ในโอกาสเดียวกันยังพบกับชุมชนไทยบนเกาะลังกาวีเพื่อรับฟังประสบการณ์การใช้ชีวิตบนเกาะ

ลังกาวีของชุมชนไทย รวมถึงให้คำปรึกษาเกี่ยวกับการให้บริการด้านการกงสุล โดยเฉพาะประเด็นการ

ดูแลและคุ้มครองคนไทยในต่างประเทศ

     นอกจากนี้ ยังลงพื้นที่เยี่ยมชมแพปลา เรือประมง และโรงงานผลิตปลาแปรรูป (ปลาฉิ้งฉ้าง) บน

เกาะลังกาวี ซึ่งมีไต้ก๋งเรือและแรงงานประมงชาวไทยทำงานอยู่จำนวนมาก ในระหว่างการลงพื้นที่มี

โอกาสพบหารือกับนาย Ooi Yen Keng ประธานสมาคมผู้ประกอบการประมง Ikan Bilis และเถ้าแก่

เจ้าของเรือประมงชาวมาเลเซีย เพื่อสอบถามถึงความเป็นอยู่ สภาพการทำงาน และอุปสรรคต่างๆของ

แรงงานประมงไทยในพื้นที่ด้วย

On 19 June 2025, H.E.Mr. Psusist Wongsurawat, Consul-General of Thailand in

Penang, and Mr. Kantapon Sangkhapreecha, Consul, met with Thai Volunteers

Group on Langkawi Island to discuss about the well-being and livelihoods of 

Thai citizens in Langkawi, as well as problems and challenges they encountered.

On this occasion, the Consul-General of Thailand also met with

Thai community on Langkawi Island and discuss about living experiences on the

island. The Consul-General of Thailand also took this opportunity to provide

consular consultations, especially on the issues related to the protection of Thai

nationals abroad.

     Furthermore, the Consul-General and Consul visited fish market, fish pier, 

and fish processing factory (Anchovy) on Langkawi Island, where many Thai

nationals work as boat captains, fishermen and factory workers. During the 

sites visit, they met with Mr.Ooi Yen Keng, the President of the Ikan Bilis Fishery

Entrepreneurs Association and the owner of fishing vessel to inquire about the

working conditions, well-being as well as challenges Thai workers face in the

area.
