ในโอกาสนี้ คณะได้รับฟังการบรรยายสรุปแผนการดำเนินงานและความคืบหน้าในการเตรียม

การ ก่อนจะร่วมสำรวจพื้นที่และเส้นทางโดยรอบ การเปิดเส้นทางเชื่อมด่านแห่งใหม่นี้จะช่วย

ยกระดับความเชื่อมโยงและการคมนาคมขนส่งระหว่างไทยและมาเลเซียให้มีประสิทธิภาพ

และมีความรวดเร็วมากยิ่งขึ้น รองรับการขยายตัวทางการค้า การลงทุน และการเดินทาง

ท่องเที่ยวระหว่างกันให้มีความสะดวกสบายกว่าเดิม

The Consul-General of Thailand in Penang participated in a meeting and a site visit

to inspect the route connecting the new Sadao Customs Checkpoint

with the Bukit Kayu Hitam Checkpoint

On 30 June 2026, Mr. Psusist Wongsurawat, Consul-General of Thailand in Penang,

joined a delegation from the Department of East Asian Affairs, Ministry of Foreign

Affairs, to conduct a preparatory meeting and site visit at the new Sadao Customs

Checkpoint. The visit aimed to ensure readiness for the official inauguration of the

route connecting the new Sadao Customs Checkpoint with the Bukit Kayu Hitam

Checkpoint, scheduled for 10 July 2026.

On this occasion, the delegation attended a briefing on the operational plan and

preparatory progress before inspecting the site and surrounding routes. Opening

this new border-connecting route will enhance the efficiency and speed of

connectivity and transportation between Thailand and Malaysia, facilitating the

expansion of trade, investment, and tourism with greater convenience.
