เมื่อวันที่ 26 เมษายน 2569 นายพสุศิษฏ์ วงศ์สุรวัฒน์ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองปีนัง เข้าร่วมชมคอนเสิร์ต

“A Magical Music Adventure” ของวงดนตรีชุมชนของรัฐปีนัง Penang Philharmonic Winds

ที่ Dewan Sri Pinang ตามคำเชิญของ Penang Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) ซึ่งเป็น

องค์กรที่มีเป้าหมายเพื่อส่งเสริมความเป็นอันหนึ่งอันเดียวกันและยกระดับมาตรฐานด้านดนตรีในรัฐปีนัง

ให้สูงขึ้น โดยเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้ที่มีพรสวรรค์และผู้ที่มีความสนใจด้านดนตรีและการร้องเพลงได้มารวมตัว

และสานฝันในการแสดงบนเวที

การแสดงคอนเสิร์ตครั้งนี้ได้รับความสนใจจากชาวปีนังและนักท่องเที่ยวเข้าร่วมชมประมาณ 600 คน   

มีนักดนตรีเข้าร่วมแสดงกว่า 65 คน ประกอบด้วยนักดนตรีอาชีพ นักดนตรีสมัครเล่นวัยทำงาน และ

นักเรียน/นักศึกษา ภายใต้การอำนวยเพลงของนาย Ng Choong Yen โดยบทเพลงที่จัดแสดงใน

ครั้งนี้เป็นบทเพลงประกอบภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชั่นซึ่งป็นที่รู้จัก อาทิ Harry Potter, Pirates of the

Caribbean, The Lord of the Rings เปิดโอกาสให้สาธารณชนชาวปีนังได้เข้าถึงดนตรีสากลในวง

กว้าง และเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของกิจกรรมการแสดงประจำปีของวงด้วย การจัดแสดงคอนเสิร์ตในครั้งนี้นับ

เป็นการกลับมาจัดแสดงที่ Dewan Sri Pinang อีกครั้งในรอบ 3 ปี ภายหลังจากการจัดแสดงครั้ง

ล่าสุดเมื่อเดือนพฤษภาคม 2566 ในโอกาสนี้ กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้แสดงความชื่นชมต่อความมุ่งมั่นและ

ทุ่มเทของคณะผู้จัดและนักดนตรี ซึ่งได้อุทิศเวลาฝึกซ้อมอย่างต่อเนื่องเป็นเวลาหลายเดือน เพื่อส่ง

เสริมศิลปวัฒนธรรมด้านดนตรีในรัฐปีนังและสร้างพื้นที่สำหรับการมีส่วนร่วมให้ชุมชน

Dewan Sri Pinang เป็นหอประชุมอเนกประสงค์หลักของปีนังที่สามารถรองรับผู้ชมได้กว่า 1,300

ที่นั่ง รัฐบาลรัฐปีนังกำลังมีแผนที่จะปิดปรับปรุงหอประชุมดังกล่าวเนื่องจากปัจจุบันมีสภาพทรุดโทรม

 “A Magical Music Adventure” Concert

On 26 April 2026, Mr. Psusist Wongsurawat, Consul-General of Thailand in

Penang, attended the “A Magical Music Adventure” concert by the Penang

Philharmonic Winds, a community orchestra of the Penang State, at Dewan Sri

Pinang, at the invitation of the Penang Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO). The PPO is

an organization dedicated to promoting unity and raising the standards of music

in Penang by providing opportunities for talented and aspiring musicians and

singers to come together and pursue their dreams of performing on stage.

The concert attracted approximately 600 Penangites and tourists, featuring over

65 musicians including professional, amateur, and student musicians, under the

direction of Mr. Ng Choong Yen. The performance included soundtracks from

popular films and animations such as Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, and

The Lord of the Rings, providing the Penang public with access to a wider range

of international music and serving as part of the band's annual performance

schedule. This concert marked the band's return to Dewan Sri Pinang after a

three-year hiatus, following their last performance in May 2023. The Consul-

General commended the dedication and commitment of the organizers and

musicians, who devoted months to rehearsals to promoting musical culture in

Penang and creating a space for community participation.

Dewan Sri Pinang is Penang's main multi-purpose hall, with a capacity of over

1,300 seats. The Penang state government is planning to close the hall for

renovations as it is currently in a state of disrepair.
