เมื่อวันที่ 15 กันยายน 2569 นายพสุศิษฏ์ วงศ์สุรวัฒน์ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองปีนัง เข้าร่วมพิธีเปิด

โรงงานสกัดทองคำ Public Gold Refinery ที่นิคมอุตสาหกรรมบาตูกาวัน รัฐปีนัง ตามคำเชิญ

ของ Dato’ Seri Louis Ng ผู้ก่อตั้งและประธานบริหาร Public Gold Group และกงสุล

กิตติมศักดิ์สาธารณรัฐคาซัคสถานประจำรัฐปีนัง โดยมี YAB Chow Kon Yeow มุขมนตรีรัฐ

ปีนังเป็นประธาน และมี YB Steven Sim Chee Keong รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการพัฒนาผู้

ประกอบการและสหกรณ์มาเลเซีย พร้อมด้วยผู้แทนภาครัฐ ภาคธุรกิจ คณะกงสุลต่างประเทศ

และคู่ค้าของ Public Gold Group เข้าร่วมงานเกือบ 2,000 คน

Public Gold Refinery เป็นโรงงานสกัดทองคำมาตรฐานสากลแห่งแรกของรัฐปีนังและ

ประเทศมาเลเซีย มีมูลค่าการลงทุน 30 ล้านริงกิต มีกำลังการสกัดโลหะมีค่า 10 ตันต่อปี โดย

มีแผนที่จะขยายกำลังการผลิตเป็น 20-50 ตันต่อปีในอนาคต โรงงานสกัดทองคำแห่งนี้จะช่วย

ลดการพึ่งพาการสกัดทองคำในต่างประเทศและทำให้ระบบนิเวศอุตสาหกรรมทองคำของ

มาเลเซียครบวงจร โดยเชื่อมโยงการผลิตเครื่องประดับเข้ากับการสกัด การจัดเก็บ การขนส่ง

การค้า และบริการทางการเงิน ตลอดจนช่วยส่งเสริมการพัฒนารัฐปีนังให้เป็นศูนย์กลางการค้า

ทองคำในภูมิภาค อนึ่ง ปัจจุบันรัฐปีนังมีกำลังการผลิตเครื่องประดับทองคำราวร้อยละ 70 ของ

ประเทศ

Opening Ceremony of the Public Gold Refinery

On 15 September 2026, Mr. Psusist Wongsurawat, Consul-General of Thailand in

Penang, attended the opening ceremony of the Public Gold Refinery at the Batu

Kawan Industrial Park, Penang, at the invitation of Dato’ Seri Louis Ng, Founder and

Executive Chairman of Public Gold Group and Honorary Consul of the Republic of

Kazakhstan in Penang. The ceremony was presided over by YAB Chow Kon Yeow,

Chief Minister of Penang, and attended by YB Steven Sim Chee Keong, Minister of

Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives of Malaysia, alongside nearly 2,000

participants comprising government officials, business representatives, members of

the consular corps, and Public Gold Group’s business partners.

Public Gold Refinery is the first international-standard gold refinery in Penang and

Malaysia, representing an investment of RM30 million. It has a precious metal

refining capacity of 10 tons per year, with plans to expand this to 20–50 tons

annually in the future. This facility will reduce reliance on overseas refining services

and complete Malaysia's gold industry ecosystem. It links jewelry manufacturing

with extraction, storage, transportation, trade, and financial services, while also

helping to promote Penang’s development into a regional gold trading hub.

Penang currently accounts for approximately 70 percent of the country's gold

jewelry production capacity.
